Russia’s TogliattiAzot wins case on ammonia transit via Ukraine
SAMARA, Nov 22 (PRIME) -- The High Administrative Court of Ukraine has approved an appeal of Russian chemicals company TogliattiAzot and voided an order of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to introduce a markup on tariff for transit supplies of ammonia via Ukraine, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Thus the court voided decisions of two lower courts.
The company managed to cancel the transit markup of more than U.S. $8 per tonne of ammonia, which had been in force for the company for more than a year. The tariff cut will make the company’s production more competitive, and will also allow TogliattiAzot to demand Ukraine compensate losses that the company suffered due to the order, the company said.
